About us
Company background
We have our roots in the railway industry when, in the 1960s, we started producing train dampers for Swedish engineering specialists ASEA. By the 1990s, we had diversified into providing dampers and buffers for a wide range of industrial applications. We traded under the name Precima from 1993 until 2003, when we became part of the Dellner Group which boasts more than 700 employees worldwide.
We work in partnership with our mother company, Dellner Couplers, a world leading manufacturer of couplers for the rail industry. We supply them with technical expertise in damping applications and simulations. Products supplied are hydraulic dampers, buffers, CEM, deformation tubes and honeycomb elements.
Working worldwide
Dellner Dampers’ products are used across the globe in rail, industrial and engineering applications by many of the world’s leading manufacturers – for example, you’ll find our dampers and buffers in train, tram and metro bogies, car and coach bodies, bridges, ship-to-shore cranes, container spreaders, wind turbines and crash test rigs. Our extensive service network also spreads across the globe, so we’re never far away if you need to take advantage of our maintenance and overhaul skills.
Safety first − lasting quality
Safety is at the heart of what we do and our team of experts is dedicated to producing high quality dampers and buffers that are reliable and fit for purpose. We’re certified according to ISO 9001 and IRIS (International Railway Industry Standard – ISO/TS 22163:2017), a globally recognised quality management system for the railway industry, and we work hard to ensure that our products play a major part in keeping people safe.
Customer focus and continuous improvement
We’re committed to becoming much more than just your supplier by forging a long term partnership that produces high quality, customised products, and drives both of our organisations forward. Working with our partners, we continually look to improve our products, processes and services to keep costs down and shorten delivery times. This way, we can help our customers become even more efficient, and even more profitable.
